Lakeshore, as an influential part of Windsor-Essex, has within easy reach a broad and encompassing spectrum of educational opportunities, from English and French elementary schools (four French, including a French immersion school) both public and Roman Catholic. We have two high schools with enhanced French programs. Nearby the renown Acadamie Ste. Cecile International School, which is accredited to prepare students not only for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma but the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB).

Both the University of Windsor and St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology are within a half hour’s drive of Lakeshore.

The University of Windsor, with it's nearly 17,000 full and part-time students, is located on a picturesque campus near the Detroit River, and its reputation for academic achievement continues to grow. With its ever increasing number of Chairs and departments of research, particularly in the automotive industry, are becoming even more deeply respected as the years pass.

St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology has as its mission the aim of preparing its 5,000 students for productive lives in the worlds of industry, commerce, social services, hospitality and many others. The Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing, preparing students today for tomorrow's challenges, is a world class example of the College's commitment to our region.

Both institutions are world ranked because of their groundbreaking research facilities and the excellence of their instruction.

Together with our primary and secondary school systems, Lakeshore is proud to be within easy reach of such institutions of higher learning as those of the calibre of the University of Windsor and St. Clair College.
