Temporary Facility in Stoney Point/Pointe-aux-Roches To Open In Early 2023

In-person library services to return

The new temporary multi-use facility at Stoney Point Community Park is expected to open early in 2023.

The facility, a 24 by 40-foot mobile unit featuring two accessible entry/exit points and an AODA-compliant washroom, will temporarily serve the community of Stoney Point/Pointe-aux-Roches. The mobile unit is currently on-site at Stoney Point Community Park, with setup and furnishings to be installed throughout November and December.

County Road 42 Improvements Underway

Phase 1 of the improvements to the County Road 42 corridor between County Road 19 (Manning Road) and the City of Windsor are beginning in October 2022. This phase will include underground work from Concession 11 to Pike Creek.

Learn safety tips with Lakeshore Fire, Station Open Houses on October 12

The Lakeshore Fire Department will open its doors on Wednesday, October 12 in celebration of Fire Prevention Week. 

The family-friendly Open Houses, to take place at all five Lakeshore fire stations from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, will give visitors the opportunity to learn important fire prevention and home safety tips, meet local firefighters, and check out fire trucks and equipment.

In-person voting in Lakeshore's Municipal Election officially continues this week with advance voting in the Renaud Room at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre (447 Renaud Line Road, Belle River) on Saturday, October 8, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, .

On Election Day, October 24, voting will take place from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at 12 locations throughout Lakeshore. Residents can look up their ward and Election Day Voting Place at Lakeshore.ca/WardMap.
