Lakeshore Calling for Public's Help on Graffiti

Lakeshore is reminding residents and visitors to report graffiti that they encounter in local parks, public spaces, and facilities.
Earlier this week, Lakeshore staff cleaned up hateful and discriminatory graffiti at River Ridge Park.

Council to Appoint Ward 2 Council Replacement

At the meeting on September 10, 2024, Lakeshore Council opted to appoint a replacement to fill the Ward 2 Council seat vacancy after the passing of Councillor Paddy Byrne earlier this year.
To fill the vacancy, Council selected Option 1, the appointment of the next Ward 2 candidate from the 2022 municipal election. Reminder: All Dogs Must Remain on Leash

The Municipality of Lakeshore wants to remind residents that dogs are to remain on leash at all times in Lakeshore parks, unless while in an off-leash dog park in accordance with By-law 27-2022.
“It is important to remember that leash laws are in place to protect everyone. Leashing your dog helps prevent accidents, reduces the risk of wildlife encounters, and ensures a more enjoyable experience for all park-goers,” said Rob Sassine, Lakeshore’s Division Leader – By-law.
