Winter Safety Reminder: Move Cars Off Local Roads

The Municipality of Lakeshore is reminding residents to move vehicles off roads whenever possible during and after snowfall.
Parked cars can block the way for snow plows, which slows down snow clearing operations. Parked vehicles should stay off the street until clearing is complete. This may take 24 to 36 hours after snowfall ends, depending on the amount of snow.
Vehicles parked in areas that are impeding snow plowing operations may receive a notice on their vehicle or at their residence.

The Municipality of Lakeshore has discontinued its dog tag program as of January 1, 2025. All other animal control services and related by-laws remain in effect.
Dog owners are no longer required to purchase a municipal dog tag every year. However, owners are still required to ensure their dogs are identifiable, either through a tag with up-to-date contact information or a microchip.
