Lakeshore Takes Action on Short-term Rental Accommodations

At the regular meeting on October 10, 2023, Council of the Municipality of Lakeshore approved a Zoning By-law amendment to define and prohibit Short-Term Rental Accommodations throughout the municipality.

Fire Prevention Week Open Houses Coming to Lakeshore

Lakeshore Fire Department invites residents to attend the Fire Prevention Week Open Houses at all five local fire stations from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
These Open Houses will give attendees the chance to learn fire prevention, meet local firefighters, and check out firetrucks and equipment.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Community Resources

Municipality of Lakeshore offices will be closed on Monday, September 30, 2024, in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The Atlas Tube Recreation Centre will be open for regular hours. Lakeshore staff are invited to wear orange in commemoration of this day from Friday, September 27, to Monday, September 30, 2024.

Smoke Testing Coming to Belle River Area

The Municipality of Lakeshore's smoke testing program will continue next week in the Belle River area.
The testing is expected to start on Monday, September 25, 2023, weather permitting. The testing will take place in the area south of County Road 22, north of the train tracks, east of Renaud Line Road, and west of Rourke Line Road.
