Vandalism Hits Lakeshore Facilities

Several public park facilities in the Municipality of Lakeshore have been the site of vandalism and significant property damage over the past month.
In mid- to late-September, Lakeshore staff attended nine outdoor public washrooms which had seen extensive damage including broken mirrors, clogged toilets, and even a melted garbage can inside a facility. Unfortunately, the damage also forced the early closure of these facilities for the year.

The Municipality of Lakeshore is moving forward with a significant expansion to the Denis St. Pierre Water Pollution Control Plant which represents a critical investment in wastewater treatment capacity needed to accommodate growth in the Municipality’s northwestern urban areas.
