In the early evening hours of December 19, firefighters from the Municipality of Lakeshore responded to a home after residents reported their carbon monoxide (CO) alarm had activated. Over the past week, a substantial number of yard waste bags have been disposed of in the parking lot of Leffler Peace Park. While the location is used for the collection of natural Christmas trees in late December and early January, it does not serve as a year-round location for organic waste.
