Lakeshore Offices to Close for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Municipality of Lakeshore offices will be closed on Monday, September 30, 2024, in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The Atlas Tube Recreation Centre will be open for regular hours.

Lakeshore staff are invited to wear orange in commemoration of this day from Friday, September 27, to Monday, September 30, 2024.

“While our offices are closed, we encourage staff and residents to learn more about the tragic history of residentials schools in our country. Educating ourselves and listening to the stories of survivors will help us, as individuals and community members, to better understand our role in reconciliation,” said Mayor Tracey Bailey.
