Back to SearchStarting tomorrow (August 28, 2024), residential recycle collection in Lakeshore will transition from the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority (EWSWA) to Green For Life Environmental Inc. (GFL), who is contracted out by Circular Materials.
Here are some tips to ensure you continue to receive proper collection:
- Set out recycling by 6:00 AM on your regular scheduled day.
- Set out only acceptable recyclable materials. Hardcover/softcover books, paint aerosols/cans, and used motor oil will no longer be accepted.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest recycling changes by downloading the Recycle Coach App.

Reminder: there is no set collection time for recycling. Collection can occur anytime between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM on your normal scheduled day, so be sure to set-out your recycling before 6:00 AM.
