East Puce Road, Major Street, and Lilydale Avenue Drainage Project
Submit your response to the Drainage Questionnaire.
Please note, the Drainage Questionnaire is only available to property owners in the affected area. The survey will be open from September 3, 2025 to September 30, 2025.
Background
The Municipality of Lakeshore has identified potential improvements for the area of East Puce Road (North of County Road 22), Major Street and Lilydale Avenue. The improvements being considered include upgrades to drainage infrastructure and road rehabilitation. To assist the municipality and Peralta Engineering to determine the degree and extent of the improvements, the municipality has engaged the residents within the project boundaries for input. A Public Information Centre (PIC) was held in February 2022 which was followed by a questionnaire sent to all residents along the affected streets.
A second PIC was held on July 9th 2025 to provide a progress update to landowners, prior to proceeding to a final design. The PIC in July was well attended and many comments were brought forward to municipal and consulting staff. In acknowledgement of comments received, the municipality deems it beneficial to conduct a second round of landowner survey by means of a questionnaire.
Comments from the PIC held on July 9th 2025 indicated a desire for an additional meeting with landowners to further discuss project details and answer questions from the landowners. A letter dated July 18th 2025 was sent providing details for this meeting which was followed by a subsequent letter dated July 28th 2025 cancelling the meeting.
Two information sessions were hosted at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre on September 3, 2025. Please refer to the letter received through the mail for more information.
Questionnaire
A questionnaire has been prepared to gather updated input from affected landowners regarding the proposed drainage improvements along Puce Road, Major Street, and Lilydale Avenue. Given the time that has passed since the original consultation process, and recognizing changes in ownership and evolving perspectives, we are redistributing the questionnaire to ensure that all landowners have a final opportunity to provide their feedback.
We wish to further clarify your property’s involvement related to the drainage improvements along East Puce Road, Major Street, and Lilydale Avenue. The details are outlined in the August 19th, 2021, Preliminary Report (linked below).
All affected properties should have received a later in August that included a paper copy of the questionnaire, as well as their previous response from July, 2025. We kindly ask that you complete the questionnaire and submit it to the Municipality by September 30, 2025. You will be provided with multiple submission options (by mail-in, call-in, or online) for your convenience. Please note that this will be the final opportunity to provide input. If no response is received, the project will proceed based solely on the feedback submitted by participating landowners, and your input will not be reflected in the final decision.
The responses collected will help guide the Engineer and the Municipality’s Drainage Board determine. the most appropriate direction for this project.
Please note, only on submission per property will be accepted. All properties received a mailed letter that included a unique 8 digit alphanumeric ID code, which is required to complete the questionnaire.
