Canada Day Celebrations Take Place at the Grand Opening of Stoney Point Community Park
Canada Day comes to Stoney Point Park
Lakeshore’s Canada Day celebrations are less than a week away! Happening in Stoney Point /Pointe-aux-Roches, the annual event will also celebrate the grand opening of the newly updated Stoney Point Community Park.
The day begins at 11 AM with a variety of free, family-friendly activities, including:
- Pickleball with the Lakeshore Pickleball Association
- 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM: Learn to Play and Open Play
- 12:30 to 1:00 PM: Demonstration Play
- 1:00 to 3:00 PM: Kids’ Open Play
- Basketball/Skills Competition with Next Level Athletics
- 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM: Drop-in Family Skills Competition
- 1:00 to 3:00 PM: 3 on 3 Showdown (pre-registration required)
The celebration continues throughout the day, with the Canada Day parade beginning at 4:30 PM, followed by an evening of entertainment featuring a children’s show, face painting, live music, and fireworks at dusk.

- Opening Ceremony and Park Ribbon Cutting at 6:00 PM
- Busker Kalen Davidson at 6:30 PM
- Luc Michaud & Dave Labute at 7:30 PM
- Chiq Quattro at 8:30 PM
- Fireworks Display at 10:00 PM

The newly updated park features a splash pad and playground, upgraded washrooms and pavilion, a natural play area, shade structure, exercise nodes, and new basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts.
