Community Benefit Fund Open for Applications
Lakeshore’s popular grant program for local organizations is back in 2025!
Local non-profits and community organizations are invited to apply for a Community Benefit Fund Grant; a program designed to support capital projects that contribute to the overall well-being of Lakeshore’s communities.
To better support lasting community infrastructure, the 2025 grant program has shifted to fund only capital projects such as facility upgrades, equipment purchases, and other long-term improvements.
"We’re proud to build on the success of previous years and continue supporting the vital work of non-profits and community organizations through the Community Benefit Fund," said Mayor Tracey Bailey. "These organizations play a key role in enhancing quality of life across Lakeshore, and we’re excited to help them bring important capital projects to life in 2025."
In 2024, the grants saw significant demand and the fund was fully utilized. This year, grant applications have been capped at $5,000 to increase the opportunity for organizations to receive funding.
The Community Benefit Fund Grant is open to a range of eligible organizations, including charitable organizations registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, registered not-for-profit organizations, and associations or societies.
Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2025.
Organizations interested in applying for the Lakeshore Community Benefit Fund Grant can complete the online application form. Before applying, they should also review the Community Benefit Fund Policy, which provides additional information about eligible organizations and projects.
