Council Approves Patillo Road Reconstruction Tende

At the regular meeting on March 10, 2026, Lakeshore Council approved the tender for the Patillo Road Reconstruction Project.

The project was designed and tendered to include sanitary sewer and watermain improvements, part of Lakeshore’s 2024 Water and Wastewater Master Plan, as well as milling and repaving from the rail tracks south to County Road 42. In 2024, Council approved Option 4 from the Patillo Road Reconstruction Options Report, which includes:

  • Three-lane road reconstruction between Advance Boulevard and Richard Ruston Drive, with sidewalks on both sides;
  • A signalized and widened intersection, with pedestrian crossings, at Silver Creek Drive; and
  • A two-lane road surface replacement between Silver Creek Drive and the rail tracks to the south.

“Patillo Road is a key corridor for residents and local businesses, and we’re pleased to see the reconstruction move forward,” said Mayor Tracey Bailey. “This project allows us to address known infrastructure and safety needs while also advancing critical water and wastewater improvements, helping us plan responsibly for continued growth.”

This project received funding through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) in the amount of $4,200,000, with construction stipulated to be completed in October 2026.

This project was also funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund (CHIF) in the amount of $553,429.04.

Sterling Ridge Infrastructures Inc. was the lowest bidder at $9,864,971.58. The total cost of the project will be $11,381,321.53, including applicable HST. Read the full Report to Council to learn more about the project and funding.
