Council:

Welcomed members of the St. John the Baptist school choir for the launch of the new O Canada video that will kick off Council and committee meetings.

Approved Zoning By-law Amendment Application ZBA-12-2023 to amend Zoning By-law 2-2012 over the lands legally described as Lots 253 – 257 & 301, Registered Plan 1624 to remove the holding symbol from “Residential Waterfront – Lake St. Clair (RW2(h6)) Zone.”, and approved By-law 50-2024, By-law 51-2024 and By-law 54-2024 to authorize the execution of a subdivision amending agreement pertaining to the Admiral’s Cove Subdivision, Phase 1 B.

Received a report regarding Delegation of Authority for Minor Zoning By-law Amendments. No direction was provided to Administration at this time.

Approved an exemption of the Draft Plan of Condominium Process for Beachside Development Ltd. County File Nos: 37-CD-24003, 600 Beachside Drive; 37-CD-24004 700 Beachside Drive; and 37-CD-24005 800 Beachside Drive, and direct Administration to forward the resolution to the County of Essex Planning Department.

Approved By-law 55-2024 to authorize the execution of a subdivision agreement regarding Lakeshore New Center Estates Phase 3C and 3D.

Directed Administration to implement Option 1, to issue a Request for Proposal for 25-year Community Plans for the communities of the Essex fringe, Elmstead, Woodslee, Ruscom, Deerbrook/Rochester, St. Joachim, Staples, Stoney Point, Comber and Tilbury West.
