Council:

Received a delegation and a report relating to the Flag Policy. No direction was provided to Administration at this time.

Received the Denis St. Pierre Wastewater Treatment Plant and Pump Station Upgrades – Area of Additional Sanitary Capacity report for information and directed Administration to bring a report providing strategies to support the good planning and development along the County Road 22 corridor and maximize the Municipality's return on infrastructure investment.

Received the Q1 2024 Web and Social Media Analytics report for information.

Approved the purchase of five (5) sets of Auto Extrication Tools through Municipal Emergency Services MES – Code 4 Fire & Rescue for $275,000; as approved in the 2024 Capital Budget Item Fire-24-6674; and approved the additional capital funding of $2,517 to be taken from the Fire Department Fleet and Equipment Reserves to support the total purchase price of $277,517 including tax.

Approved the purchase of a new fire rescue truck from CET Rescue Trucks through Darch Fire Equipment -1200 degrees for $285,000; as approved in the 2024 Capital Budget Item Fire-24-6673; and that the additional capital funding of $95,000 be returned to the Fire Department Fleet and Equipment Reserves to support future lifecycle replacement of additional vehicles.

Awarded Step 1) Field Assessment and Scan for the 2024 Roads Needs Study to StreetScan for a total cost of $159,260.50 including applicable HST; and awarded Step 2) Engineering and Reporting for the 2024 Roads Needs Study to analyze data and complete the Roads Needs Study to R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited for a total cost of $84,359.04 including applicable HST.

Approved By-law 53-2024 to adopt the Community Benefit Fund Grants Policy.

Provisionally adopted By-law 48-2024, Being a By-law for the Bridge Over the 16th-17th Sideroad Drain, pursuant to the Drainage Act.

Gave third reading and finally adopted the following by-laws pursuant to the Drainage Act:
