Facility Closures and Air Quality Update

The Municipality of Lakeshore Town Hall and other facilities will be closed and operating at reduced capacity today.

Due to poor air quality in the Windsor-Essex Region the Municipality of Lakeshore will operating at reduced capacity with several Municipal services being delayed during this time.

Environment Canada issued an orange air quality warning that remains in effect across Windsor-Essex as smoke from wildfires in northwestern Ontario affects the region. Windsor-Essex County Health Unit officials are urging everyone effected to limit time outdoors and consider postponing outdoor sports, activities, and events.

As a result of the continued poor air quality and ongoing indoor air quality assessments, the Municipality has made several operational adjustments for Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17. These decisions have been made to protect the health and safety of our employees and the public.
