Final Property Tax Payment Due Date Coming Up

Property owners in Lakeshore have until July 31, 2025, to submit the first installment of their final property tax bill. Property tax bills were mailed in late June, with installments due on July 31 and October 31. 

Lakeshore offers several convenient payment options, both online and in person. Check out the full list of options at Lakeshore.ca/Payments and sign up to receive water/tax bills to email at Lakeshore.ca/Ebilling.  

Issue Affecting Tax Bills for Some Farm Properties 

Due to a technical issue, a small number of properties received tax bills with incorrect billing calculations on Education and County tax rates. The issue caused those rate calculations, and the bills, to be higher than expected. 

The issue only affected Farm properties with school support of English Separate and French Public. On property tax bills, the affected properties will show assessment designations of “F T ES” or “F T FP” under the Tax Class and Description column. 

Once the issue is resolved, an updated tax bill will be mailed with a letter to affected property owners. Late payment penalties will be waived until August 29, 2025. Property owners on a Pre-authorized Payment Plan will have future monthly payments adjusted.
