Lakeshore Beach Bus Pilot Project to Launch June 20
Free rides from Atlas Tube Recreation Centre to Lakeview Park West Beach
The pilot project for Lakeshore's new free weekend shuttle service is expected to start on June 20, 2026.
The service will run on weekends from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with regular and frequent trips between the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre and Lakeview Park West Beach.
"We are excited to launch the Lakeshore Beach Bus pilot project in time for the official start of Summer, and we look forward to sharing more details about the service in the coming days," said Vanessa Stratton, Lakeshore's Executive Director of Community Services. "Once launched, we also want to hear from users on
how we can improve the service throughout the year."
The shuttle will run on Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday Mondays, until September 7, 2026. Council approved the pilot project at the regular meeting on June 9, 2026. Read the Report to Council online.
