Lakeshore Cuts Ribbon at Town Hall

Lakeshore Council and staff celebrated the reopening of Town Hall (419 Notre Dame Street) with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

The main floor of the building, which reopened earlier this month, underwent a significant renovation that started in late 2024. Improvements to the facility include:

• New entryway and service area with 5 new customer service counters (8 total).
• New barrier-free washroom.
• 2 new meeting rooms, along with a staff lunch/coffee room.
• 6 new offices.

The customer service lobby also features a new mural which celebrates and honours Lakeshore’s history as a community of communities.

“On behalf of Council, I’d like to thank everyone who helped make this project possible, as well as residents and staff for their patience throughout the renovation period,” said Mayor Tracey Bailey. “We are thrilled to see the renovation delivered on time and on budget. The project has delivered significant improvements while not breaking the bank for taxpayers.”

“While the renovation is complete, the work doesn’t stop,” said Chief Administrative Officer Tyson Cragg. “As with all our programs and facilities, we strive for continuous improvement.  We want to hear how we can do better, and we welcome your comments so we can continue to provide the high-quality service that our residents expect.”

All services are accessible from the main Town Hall entrance at the corner of 8^th Street and Notre Dame. A Public Service Representative is located at the main entrance to respond to inquiries and direct visitors to service windows.
