Lakeshore Launches Development Activity Hub

This week, the Municipality of Lakeshore launched its new Development Activity Hub, an interactive tool that provides real-time information on construction and development activity happening through the municipality.

The launch of the tool is part of Lakeshore's ongoing efforts to improve transparency, customer services, and access to information.

Available at Lakeshore.ca/DevelopmentHub, the hub features links to interactive dashboards which present information on past and current planning applications and building permits in a variety of formats.

Development Activity Hub users will be able to explore:

• Graphs showing application and permit types, volumes, values and statuses, with information available from 2023 to date and by individual year.
• An interactive map showing the locations of active planning and building applications across Lakeshore, with the ability to view activity in a particular neighbourhood or area.
• Colour-coded map pins showing an application’s status.

The Hub’s dashboards will be reviewed and updated regularly based on feedback received from staff, Council, and the public.

To meet the Municipality’s privacy obligations, some dashboard information will be limited. Requests for records, such as building plans, continue to be subject to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).
