Lakeshore Welcomes New Executive Director of Community Services

The Municipality of Lakeshore is pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa Stratton as Executive Director of Community Services.

Vanessa recently served as Manager of Business Operations within Sports and Recreation at the University of Western Ontario. She has contributed at the highest levels of international sport including acting as an Officiating Committee Member with the International Ice Hockey Federation, officiating at numerous international and national championships, and acting as an Officiating Coach for women’s hockey at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. She holds a Bachelor of Sport Management, a Master of Business Administration, and certifications in Project and Change Management, and brings more than a decade of leadership experience across the public and post-secondary sectors. 

As Executive Director of Community Services, Vanessa will provide strategic leadership to the Municipality’s Community Services Department, including Parks, Recreation, and Facilities. In this role, she will help advance Lakeshore’s Strategic Plan and support the delivery of long-term goals and priorities, while continuing to enhance programs, services, and recreational opportunities for the community.
