Lakeshore Welcomes New Executive Director of Development Services
The Municipality of Lakeshore is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Miller as the Executive Director of Development Services, effective March 9, 2026.
“Council and I are pleased to welcome Lauren to Team Lakeshore. She has an impressive background in planning, and we believe her knowledge and experience will support the sustainable development of Lakeshore’s communities during a transformative time for our municipality,” said Mayor Tracey Bailey.
“I am excited to step into the role and honoured to have a hand in guiding the planning and development that will define Lakeshore for generations to come. I am committed to leading with purpose and care, preserving where we've come from, and balancing the needs of today with the ambitions of tomorrow,” Lauren Miller said.
Miller brings more than 20 years of planning experience and a strong record of professional leadership to Lakeshore. Originally from Windsor/Essex, she is a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s School of Planning and holds a Certificate in Professional Leadership from the University of Regina. She is a Registered Professional Planner and a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. She is also a member of the American Planning Association and holds the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) designation.
In her role as the Executive Director of Development Services, Miller will lead the Development Services Department, including Community Planning and Building Services. As a member of the Corporate Leadership Team, she will support sustainable growth and development in Lakeshore and help advance the Horizons initiative, the Municipality’s Official Plan, as well as Council’s Strategic Objectives.
