Mayor's Message: A New Chapter for Lakeshore

Shared on behalf of Mayor Tracey Bailey

Congratulations to everyone who put their name forward in the 2026 Municipal Election!

Running for public office takes courage, commitment and a genuine desire to serve. Thank you to every candidate who stepped forward.

To my outgoing Council colleagues, Ryan McNamara, Michael Hoffman and Kelsey Santarossa, thank you for your service, dedication and contributions to Lakeshore. We've navigated challenges, made difficult decisions and accomplished important work together. I am grateful for your commitment to our community and wish each of you every success in your next chapter.

To our newly elected Council members, Ryan Lahoud, Kenneth Poisson, Mike Gruszka and Dave Gabriele, welcome!

And congratulations to Deputy Mayor Kirk Walstedt and returning Councillors Ian Ruston and Larissa Vogler on your re-election! I look forward to continuing our work together.

We have an exciting four years ahead of us! Infrastructure to deliver, opportunities to pursue and communities to strengthen.

We won't always agree, and that's okay. Different perspectives, respectful debate and a shared commitment to our residents make for good governance.

The election is behind us. Now we come together as one Council, working for one Lakeshore.

Let's get to work!
