Mayor's Message: Sunsplash Festival

On behalf of Council and our residents, I would like to thank the Belle River BIA and its countless volunteers for making the event possible. We appreciate the years of hard work and dedication that made Sunsplash all that it is, and we look forward to their slate of 2025 events and initiatives that support their member businesses and community.

While we understand that many will be disappointed by this decision, Council and I respect the autonomy of the Board. The Belle River BIA, like BIAs across Ontario, determines their own priorities and operates independently from the municipality. 

As always, our doors are open to businesses and organizations who are interested in hosting events in one of our communities. We have a talented team who can support groups in delivering safe and sustainable events in municipal facilities across Lakeshore.
