Notice of the Passing of a Zoning By-law Amendment by the Municipality of Lakeshore By-law 81-2025
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Municipality of Lakeshore has passed By-law 81-2025 on the 4th day of November 2025, under Section 17 and 21 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, which provided for the adoption of Official Plan Amendment No. 22, Four Units as of Right.
Purpose and Effect
By-law 81-2025 adopts Official Plan Amendment 22 to the Lakeshore Official Plan. The purpose of OPA No. 22 is to provide policies to permit up to four residential dwelling units on a single lot within areas with full municipal services designated Residential, Mixed Use, Hamlet and Waterfront.

The complete Official Plan Amendment and any associated information is available for inspection at the Lakeshore Municipal Offices during regular office hours. No public comments were received prior to the decision.
The amendment (OPA No. 22) will be submitted to the County of Essex for approval. Any person or public body wishing to receive Notice of the Decision of the County should submit a written request with their name, address, fax number and/or email address to:
