Parking and Program Changes Coming to ATRC for Lakeshore Canadiens Playoff Series
The Municipality of Lakeshore is making temporary facility and parking changes at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre for the upcoming showdown between the Lakeshore Canadiens and Essex 73s. The home games, scheduled for March 22, 27, and 31 (if necessary), are expected to draw big crowds as the teams duke it out in the PJHL’s Stobbs Division Final.
To help manage traffic and provide added parking capacity on game nights, Lakeshore is opening an overflow parking area on the north side of the property (north of the soccer fields).
All drivers are asked to:
-
Follow the attached parking map and on-site signage.
-
Stay off the grass and park only in designated areas.
-
Keep the fire access route clear.
Municipal staff will be present in the overflow lot to direct traffic and assist visitors. Those who park in the overflow lot can access the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre using the east entrances (next to the pool and gym).
Accessible parking will continue to be available in the main lot.
All visitors are encouraged to arrive early, follow posted directions, and allow extra time for parking and entry.
Due to event operations and expected facility demand, the Municipality has cancelled the evening recreation swim on Friday, March 27, 2026.
