Prescribed Burn in Stoney Point/Pointe-aux-Roches Coming Up

A prescribed burn of invasive Phragmites is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Stoney Point sewage lagoons (south of Tremblay Beach Conservation Area). 

The burn was originally scheduled to take place earlier this year but was rescheduled due to unfavourable weather conditions.

The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA), which operates the facility on behalf of the Municipality of Lakeshore, will conduct the burn and the Lakeshore Fire Department is aware of the plans.
