Women on Fire Coming Up at Atlas Tube Recreation Centre
Shared on behalf of Women on Fire.
October 4th, 2025 marks the fifth #WomenOnFire event, hosted at the Municipality of Lakeshore's Atlas Tube Recreation Centre.
#WomenOnFire is a group of local champions for many initiatives and events aimed at educating, mentoring, advising and even training, young women interested in entering and succeeding at non-traditional employment opportunities in emergency response organizations in Windsor/Essex County.
The event aims to promote diversity in emergency responder organizations (such as Fire, Police, EMS, CBSA, the Canadian Armed Forces, and Correctional Services) within Windsor/Essex County. This initiative will provide a recruitment training opportunity for women 18 years and older, to try out various components of each organizations physical testing, ask questions, network with women already working within the organizations, and to have an opportunity to mentor with these women if they choose.
The goal of the event is to generate an interest in an emergency/security services career for women, and to promote diversity within our local organizations to better serve and connect with our communities across Windsor/Essex county.
St Clair College registration information will be available for related programs of study.
