Notice of Public Meeting: Community Improvement Plan Amendment
File Number: -
Subject: 2025 Lakeshore Community Improvement Plan for Housing and Main Streets and Rural Economic Development
Applicant: Municipality of Lakeshore
Purpose: The Municipality of Lakeshore is proposing an amendment to the 2025 Lakeshore Community Improvement Plan for Housing and Main Streets and Rural Economic Development (CIP). The 2025 CIP was adopted by Council in August 2025 and applies to the entire Municipality of Lakeshore. The proposed amendment would revise the geographic eligibility provisions for the Main Streets and Rural Economic Development incentives. Currently, the CIP provides for the Main Streets and Rural Economic Development incentives to apply within the Primary Settlement Areas and Secondary Settlement Areas identified in the Municipality's Official Plan. The proposed amendment would permit eligible properties throughout the Municipality of Lakeshore to be considered for the Main Streets and Rural Economic Development incentives, subject to the applicable program-specific eligibility criteria, application requirements, zoning and other regulatory requirements, available funding, and municipal approval. The proposed amendment does not change the Community Improvement Project Area, which remains the entire Municipality of Lakeshore as designated by By-law 56-2025.
