Shipping Container Survey
Draft By-law
A Zoning By-law Amendment will be presented to Council at a future date. Stay tuned as more details become available.
Community Survey
The Municipality of Lakeshore is considering changes to its Zoning By-law to regulate shipping containers (also known as Sea Cans). This follows recent by-law complaints and growing interest in using them as storage sheds, parts of homes or businesses, and for moving.
Responses were accepted until September 15, 2025.
A summary of responses will be provided to Council for consideration.
We want your feedback on if and how shipping containers should be used and regulated in Lakeshore.
