By-law Enforcement
The Municipality of Lakeshore is committed to fostering a safe, healthy, and enjoyable community for all residents and visitors. Municipal Law Enforcement Officers work collaboratively with residents and businesses to ensure compliance with a range of municipal by-laws. Officers respond to complaints submitted by the public and other government agencies, and investigate potential violations. Please note that civil disputes do not fall within the scope of Municipal By-law Enforcement.
Municipal By-laws are established by Council to address community concerns and to uphold environmental protection, public health and safety, and the overall quality of life within neighbourhoods.
The Municipality has enacted specific By-laws that regulate areas such as Animal Control, Zoning, Signage, Property Standards, Yard Maintenance, and Noise to name a few. Municipal Law Enforcement Officers are responsible for enforcing these regulations and providing assistance where required.
To submit a by-law complaint, please contact the By-law Division at 519-728-2700. Please note, anonymous submissions are not accepted.
