Water Service Requests

A request can be made to have water service shut off and/or turned on. There is a fee for each service which will be added to the water account.

A water abandonment is where the house is no longer connected to the municipal service and the water valve at the property line is removed. There is an option to reconnect if required.

Once the fee has been paid, the request will be completed and water billing will stop within fourteen (14) days.

A disconnection is the complete removal of the water service to the watermain, it can never be used again.

The fee for the service is determined by actual costs as well as an inspection fee once the work has been completed. If you would like this service please contact the Water Services Department at 519-728-2700, ext 625.
