Effective April 2, 2024, we will be launching CloudPermit for open burn permit requests.

Apply online for an Open Burning Permit

Apply for your Open Burning Permit online

The Municipality of Lakeshore is pleased to offer community members Cloudpermit – an online system to apply for and track your Open Burning Permits.

The Cloudpermit system allows you to apply for and to see the status of your application anywhere, any time.  You can start an application and finish it later and receive email updates on the status of your permit application.

An Open Burning Bylaw is in effect in Lakeshore. Identified in the Bylaw are 5 burning categories, parameters for approved fires and fee when unauthorized burns occur.

Anyone starting a fire must be at least 18 years of age. No permission is required if rules are followed for all categories except open burning.

Other Options for Applying for Open Burning Permits

If you are unable to apply for an Open Burning Permit online, please contact Lakeshore's Public Service Unit for support at 519-728-2700.
