Nomination process

The nomination period begins on May 1, 2026.

Candidates can file a nomination by appointment with the Clerk’s Office during regular business hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

To file a nomination, you must provide:

This is the deadline to:

  • file a nomination
  • withdraw a nomination
  • change a nomination

On Nomination Day, nominations can be filed between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM

Sunday, November 15, 2026 New Term of Office Commences

The Use of Municipal Resources during Election Policy sets out the provisions for the use of Municipality of Lakeshore resources during an election period. Section 4 states that no person shall use a resource for any election-related purpose and that no permits, licenses, leases or other agreements for the use of facilities will be issued to promote, support or oppose a particular candidate, third party advertiser or political party.
