Reminder comes after three incidents caused an estimated $1 million in property damage. Ahead of the holidays, the Municipality of Lakeshore Fire Department is sounding the alarm on the potential hazard of lithium-ion batteries.
On Monday, December 9, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, system maintenance will have a minor impact on Lakeshore's billing system. During that period, Lakeshore's Accounting & Revenue Services Division will be unable to process payments or provide water and tax billing information by phone or in person.
The Municipality of Lakeshore’s draft 2025 Budget will be presented to Council at the upcoming meeting on Tuesday, December 10, with deliberations scheduled for January 23 and 24. .
Update on Holiday Lights. After the installation of this year’s holiday streetlight features, Lakeshore received several complaints about the state of the lights, with some noting that many of the lights were partially out or had gone out since installed.
Last week, Lakeshore Council and staff gathered to recognize long-serving employees of the municipality. “Their careers represent over a century of contributions to our municipality” said Mayor Tracey Bailey.
