The Municipality of Lakeshore is seeking feedback from local pickleball players on improving facilities, programming and sport registration. Recently, Lakeshore has seen tremendous growth in pickleball players and interest in the sport.
The municipality is pleased to announce that the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has approved eligibility for Lakeshore residents, within a designated activation area, for the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) program. This program, run by the Province, assists with emergency expenses and costs to repair or replace essential property not covered by insurance, following the significant rainfall event in August.

Enbridge Gas Inc. (Enbridge Gas) is helping the Municipality of Lakeshore’s Fire Department purchase firefighting training materials, through Safe Community Project Assist–a program with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council (FMPFSC) that supplements existing training for Ontario volunteer and composite fire departments in the communities where Enbridge Gas operates.
