- Sessional activity guides are available online as early as possible. Approximately one week prior to registration for the next session of instructional programs, the guides will be available at the customer service areas.
- Registration is online or in person starting at 9:00 am on the first day of registration for the session and continues until the 3rd week of the session.
- Programs may be cancelled due to low registrations.
- If you are unsure of your or your child's swimming ability, aquatic staff will provide free swim assessments during one of our evening or weekend Recreational Swims and advise what level to register for.
- Swimming lesson report cards are issued on the last day of lessons. If you are unable to attend the last day, the report card(s) will be available to be picked up at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre front desk, for a maximum of 6 months after the last day of that class.
- There are no credits or make-up classes offered for missed classes.
- Program instructors may vary from week to week.
- Program fees are as listed; programs are prorated from the day of registration for programs that have already started.
- Program fees have already been calculated to take into consideration classes that fall on statutory holidays, or when the facility is closed.
- If a class is full, the Municipality of Lakeshore recommends you register on a waiting list. In the event additional classes are formed or a space becomes available staff will contact the persons on the waiting list.

First Time Registering: You will first need to create an account. To create an account, please call 519-728-2700 or email us at recinfo@lakeshore.ca. Logging into your account: The username is the email address associated with your account at the time of account creation. If you do not remember your password or it is the first time you are logging in you will need click 'Forgot your Password'. This will allow you to create your own password. Finding Programs: You can search for programs by the name of the program, age, category, or by the course code. Filters are also available to help your search. Preparing for Registration Day: Prior to registration opening, we recommend you add the programs to your Wish List. You can do this by searching for the programs you are interested in and clicking the heart icon next to the program. Registration Day: Log into your account, go to your wish list, wait for the registration to open, click enroll now, select the participant you are enrolling. Repeat these steps for all items wish listed. Once all programs have been added to your cart, you can click on My Cart and check out by completing the transaction with an online payment. |
Funding for low income families
- Subsidies are available through P2P (Pathways to Potential). Contact recreation services for more information 519-728-2700 or email recinfo@lakeshore.ca.
Credits and refunds
- Classes will be cancelled before the program start date if we do not meet our minimum numbers. Please register for all programs prior to the start of the program.
- If the Municipality of Lakeshore cancels your class, a full refund by your initial method of payment will be issued to you.
- If you withdraw from a class, you will be offered a credit on your account or a refund less the classes attended and the Municipality of Lakeshores refund charge.
- A $40.00 Administration Fee will be charged to all refunds. No credit or make up classes are available for missed classes.
Income Tax Receipts:
- To locate your Income Tax receipts, log into lakeshore.ca/recreation.
- Locate the button "My Account" in the top right corner (on computer) or on the main screen (on mobile device).
- Under the drop menu "Payment and Order Management" you will find the button "Tax Receipt".
- Select the tax year and click on "Generate Tax Receipt".
- Tax receipts can be exported in Adobe or Microsoft Excel.
Suggest a Recreation Program
The Municipality of Lakeshore provides affordable and introductory programs focused on recreation, sports, and leadership for all ages and abilities. We welcome new program suggestions. Submissions can be received year-round, and will be reviewed during the months of January and April of each calendar year. Please note that we only consider programs focused on sport and recreation. Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, we will only follow up with those we wish to pursue further.
