Splash Pads, Parks, and Marina Now Open!

The opening of splash pads this weekend means all three of the Municipality of Lakeshore’s splashy summer destinations will be open to residents and visitors.
In late April, the Belle River Marina officially opened to boaters. Seasonal park facilities, such as washrooms and sports fields, opened earlier this month although a stretch of rain dampened fields and forced temporary closures.

The Municipality of Lakeshore has reached a collective agreement with full-time workers in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 636, after Council endorsed the agreement on May 2, and the union ratified the agreement on Monday night.

Road Closure Notice: First Street

Update: The road closure is now expected to be in effect from May 23 to May 26, weather permitting. The road may also be closed on Monday, May 29.
First Street and the pedestrian crossing will be closed at the railroad tracks, between Railway Avenue and Lakeview Drive, due to construction.
The road will be closed to all traffic, including emergency service vehicles.
