Driveway Pre-pour Inspections
Prior to scheduling a contractor to hard surface your driveway, you require an inspection from the Public Works Department. Regardless of whether your services are in the driveway or not, they need to be inspected to ensure they are in proper working order.

Public Works Entrance Permits
Properties that do not currently have access from the road to enter the property require an entrance permit. If the property is on a Municipal road, applicants are asked to contact Engineering and Infrastructure Services at 519-728-2488 to make arrangements.
If the property is located on a County Road, please contact the County of Essex at 519-776-6441 for application requirements.
Note: If this is for a Single Family Dwelling or an addition that will be situated closer to the front property line than the existing building, a setback approval may also be required through the County of Essex.
