Hit the ice or take a splash this holiday season with Lakeshore's lineup of free skate and swim events happening at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre (447 Renaud Line Road).
The schedule of events, which are sponsored by Pathway to Potential, is as follows:
- Free skates will be hosted on December 26, 27, 28, and 29 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
- Two free swim sessions, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM and 7:00 to 8:00 PM, will be hosted on December 23 and 30.

The Municipality of Lakeshore’s summer student job positions are now open for applications. All local youth who are 16 years of age or older and returning to school in September of 2023 are eligible to apply. Applications will be accepted until Monday, February 20, 2023, at 4:30 PM.

Contractors for the Municipality of Lakeshore will begin phase 2 of dredging of the mouth of Belle River on Monday, December 12, 2022. The work will take place at the mouth of the lake and on the beach (see key map below) and is expected to be completed by mid-January.
